Role Description

ProviderCFO is seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a experience in audit and a passion for delivering top-tier financial services. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, with occasional travel to client locations to build strong partnerships and support their operations team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for multiple clients.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies tailored to their business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the preparation of audit schedules and act as the primary liaison with auditors during client audits.
  • Mentor and support accounting team members, fostering a culture of education and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement industry best practices.
  • Conduct periodic on-site visits to clients, as needed, to enhance relationships and provide hands-on support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in an audit role.
  • Experience in the Senior Living or Disability Services sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Willingness to travel periodically, including overnight stays.
