Job DescriptionJob Description

Our client in Kearny is looking for an Estimator to join their team. The Estimator position is responsible for material takeoffs for proposed projects. This position reviews plans and specifications in relation to the project schedule and scope of work, collaborating closely with the sales team to coordinate project cost estimates.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
•    Review electronic 2D/3D drawings 
•    Communicate with professional vendors 
•    Communicate with management, finance and sales  
•    Work with Quality, Environmental, H&S employees to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality       
•    Has the obligation to be aware of and comply with environmental, safety policies and regulations and always endures duties of high-quality standards
Job Requirements:
•    Ability to read, analyze and interpret general 2D/3D drawings, business correspondence and RFQ documentation
•    Effectively present information and respond to questions from management team/sales team regarding pricing  
•    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
•    Knowledge of structural design and structural steel pricing considered a plus. 
•    Bachelors degree in related fields, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering is a requirement.

Salary $70,000.00 - $90,000
