Position Overview:
We are seeking a Site Safety Coordinator to champion safety at our Pasadena site and other Texas locations. In this role, you will promote a culture of safety, provide comprehensive training, and ensure compliance with established health and safety principles. You’ll collaborate with employees at all levels to foster safe behaviors, improve safety policies, and conduct regular training and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain safety procedures aligned with our safety-first culture.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen safety awareness and practices among employees.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections/audits and recommend corrective actions.
  • Identify and report safety deviations, near-misses, and unusual incidents.
  • Deliver safety orientations for new hires and contractors.
  • Maintain a visible presence on-site to observe and improve safety behaviors.
  • Organize and evaluate monthly safety drills and meetings.
  • Manage safety equipment trials and implement improved options.
  • Develop and maintain health and safety training programs in coordination with the HSE Director.
  • Assist with hazard assessments, HAZOP identification, and operating procedures.
  • Manage small safety-related capital projects and oversee PPE supply.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a lead safety role within manufacturing or refining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to drive change and foster a positive safety culture.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001 and ISO-1400 is a plus.
