Are you a compassionate and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) looking for a meaningful role? Do you have a deep understanding of trauma, healing, and resilience? SAFECHR is seeking a dedicated, trauma-informed LCSW to work part-time in a therapeutic shelter setting with women who are survivors of sexual assault, trafficking, and gender-based violence.

What You'll Do

Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based trauma approaches (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, or CPT).
Assess clients' mental health needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and support their healing journey.
Work alongside case managers and shelter staff to ensure a holistic, survivor-centered approach to care.
Facilitate therapeutic workshops focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, self-empowerment, and trauma recovery.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to all ethical and legal standards.
Provide crisis intervention and emotional support as needed.

Position Overview

The Part-Time LCSW will provide individual and group therapy to women who have experienced sexual violence and complex trauma. This role focuses on supporting survivors in processing their trauma, developing coping skills, and reclaiming their personal power.

The ideal candidate is an experienced clinician with a deep understanding of trauma, PTSD, and survivor-centered care. You will collaborate with case managers, shelter staff, and other mental health professionals to ensure holistic, survivor-focused treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, CPT) to survivors of sexual assault, trafficking, and domestic violence.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each survivor's needs.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops focused on trauma recovery, emotional regulation, self-empowerment, and coping skills.
  • Offer crisis intervention and emotional support for clients experiencing PTSD symptoms, anxiety, and depression.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with professional and legal standards.
  • Work collaboratively with shelter staff, case managers, and legal advocates to provide holistic support.
  • Advocate for survivor well-being by connecting clients to additional resources, including psychiatric care, substance abuse treatment, and employment programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in trauma-focused therapy.

Qualifications & Skills

Active LCSW license in [State] (Required)
2+ years of clinical experience working with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, or human trafficking(Preferred)
Extensive knowledge of trauma, PTSD, dissociation, and evidence-based interventions
Experience providing individual and group therapy
Proficiency in evidence-based trauma therapies (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, CPT) (Highly Preferred)
Ability to work independently while collaborating in a multidisciplinary, trauma-informed team
Strong cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations
Excellent documentation and case management skills
