Responsibilities

  • Conduct group therapy sessions for adolescents (aged 8-17) and adults, managing groups of 8 to 10 participants.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate meaningful discussions and activities during group sessions.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive environment where participants feel comfortable expressing themselves and engaging with one another.
  • Implement crisis management protocols as needed to address emergent situations and ensure the safety and well-being of group members.
  • Develop creative and engaging interventions and treatment plans to keep participants motivated and excited about attending group sessions.
  • Collaborate with other members of the clinical team to coordinate care and support the overall treatment goals of clients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group sessions, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Learn and be proficient in our EMR system.
  • Participate in regular supervision and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and stay informed about best practices in group therapy.

Qualifications

  • Clinical Psychologist, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent, with the ability to practice in the state of Florida.
  • Experience treating Substance Use Disorder strongly preferred.
  • Experience facilitating group therapy sessions, preferably with children and adolescents.
  • Provide engaging homework assignments to clients to enhance the therapeutic experience.
  • Strong crisis management skills and the ability to effectively de-escalate challenging situations.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for developing innovative interventions to engage participants in group therapy.
  • Flexibility to work some evening and weekend hours to accommodate the needs of clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity in working with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive work environment.

Other Requirements

  • Must be available to work full-time.
  • Must be able to clear a Level 2 background check.
