RV Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical air and electrical repair on the interior of RV and motor homes with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves working with various bus and motorhome chassis' Including Prevost, Marathon, Fleetwood, Newell and Tiffin. With a heavy focus on Prevost.
Duties
- Perform interior bus and RV repairs, including 12, 110 and 220v electrical systems, av equipment including tv, radio and various electronics.
- Utilize hand tools and schematics to diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- HVAC experience would be preferred.
- Conduct inspections to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and meets safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot problems and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience on interior repairs or related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Familiarity with trailers or RV maneuvering
- Proficient in using hand tools and reading schematics for diagnostic purposes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including pushing and lifting as required.
- A commitment to safety standards and practices within the workplace.
- A good attitude in the work place is a must.
Job Functions:
- Complete diagnostic test and repair or replacement services
- Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance maintenance
- Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
- Keep supervisor updated with work progress
- Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Essential Job Skills:
- Certification from college or technical school in trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is certainly helpful but, we also consider applicable work experience
- Minimum 1 year service technician experience or related fields preferred
- RVIA certification helpful but not required
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
- May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
- Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
- Possible exposure to environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetness
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping , crawling and bending Must furnish own hand/shop tools
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections and diagnose issues with RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components in a timely fashion
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components as approved by warranty or paying customer
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as roof inspections, appliance services, wheel bearing packs
- Install and repair RV accessories and appliances
- Test and troubleshoot RV systems to ensure proper functionality
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an RV Technician
- Strong knowledge of RV systems and components
- Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to perform Jobs with a minimum efficiency of 60%

- Knowledge of RV appliances
