REGIONAL SALES MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for managing all sales activities within the designated territory. Provide leadership and direction to Sales Representatives, Area Sales Managers, and Inside Sales Staff, either directly or through subordinate Supervisors.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, develop, and implement overall sales strategy for the region in collaboration with other team members as needed.
  • Select, interview, contract, train, and develop Sales Representatives to promote the company’s offerings in the market.
  • Direct and monitor regional performance to ensure sales targets are met, profit objectives are maintained, and operations stay within budgeted costs while adhering to corporate sales policies and procedures.
  • Assist with customer issue resolution as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of regional budget and annual planning.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events.
  • Travel as needed to support sales efforts and customer relations.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Sales Representatives, Area Sales Managers, and Inside Sales Staff. Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints or resolving issues.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or five to seven years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business materials, reports, and technical documents.
  • Ability to write business correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to calculate discounts, commissions, and percentages.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and work in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with an intermediate level of experience.
  • Ability to take photographs for use in marketing or promotional materials.
