On behalf of our client, a leading behavioral health organization, we are seeking a Head of Staff Operations to join their senior leadership team. Position Overview
The Head of Staff Operations is a key member of the senior leadership team, supporting the [COO/Executive Team] in driving operational priorities, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring cross-functional alignment. This proactive leader acts as a trusted advisor to senior management, fostering a smooth, effective, and high-performance culture across the organization.
In this role, you will bridge the leadership team and staff across all departments, ensuring the execution of key decisions and achievement of operational objectives. Additionally, you will lead strategic initiatives, monitor organizational performance, and manage the COO/Executive team's priorities and key projects. The ideal candidate possesses excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Execution
- Define and translate strategic vision into actionable plans.
- Lead key initiatives, ensuring timely and budget-friendly results.
- Track and report on strategic goals and milestones.
Leadership Coordination
- Communicate leadership priorities across service lines.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and support senior leaders.
Operational Oversight
- Streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Implement scalable systems aligned with growth objectives.
Crisis Management
- Lead during crises, supporting informed decision-making.
- Manage communication and strategic problem-solving.
Communication & Relationship Management
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee internal communications and represent leadership as needed.
Project Management
- Lead high-priority projects and special initiatives.
- Ensure projects are well-executed and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 7-10 years in senior leadership, operations, or executive support roles, ideally in a high-growth environment.
- Skills:
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and relationship-building
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
