Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and hardworking Cashier to join our team at our First Responder Uniform Store. As a cashier, you will play a key role in assisting customers, managing transactions, and ensuring that our store maintains a clean, organized, and inviting atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by assisting customers with their purchases of first responder uniforms and related accessories. Help them find the right products based on their needs, preferences, and specifications.
  • Transaction Handling: Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately, including handling cash, credit card payments, and returns/exchanges.
  • Stock Management: Assist with checking in deliveries and accurately stocking inventory on the sales floor. Ensure products are displayed in an organized manner and easy to locate.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the various first responder uniforms and gear available in-store to provide helpful guidance to customers.
  • Store Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and tidy work area and sales floor. This includes ensuring shelves are neat, product displays are attractive, and the store environment is always welcoming.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store. Support other team members with restocking, organizing, and providing assistance during busy periods.
  • Additional Duties: Participate in any other store-related duties as needed, including inventory checks, assisting with store promotions, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the workspace.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in retail, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately process transactions, manage inventory, and ensure stock levels are consistent.
  • Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift boxes of stock, and organize inventory on shelves.
