Your Role:

As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in childcare and preparing children for kindergarten and their future educational journey. You will create a nurturing and engaging environment where children can thrive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative programs suitable for preschool children.
  • Use various educational techniques, such as storytelling, educational play, and media, to engage children.
  • Observe and support each child’s social and emotional development.
  • Encourage positive interactions among children and help resolve conflicts.
  • Guide children in developing their artistic and practical skills through structured activities.
  • Organize nap and snack times, ensuring children’s safety.
  • Track and report on children’s progress to parents.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to understand and support each child’s needs.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a tidy facility.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience working with young children in childcare and/or preschool environments.
  • 12+ Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, as required by California state law.
  • Current Physician’s Report and TB Test.
  • Proof of Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Measles, and Influenza vaccinations (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Live Scan Clearance.
  • Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Passionate about working with children.
  • Ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Positive and patient demeanor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher.
  • Strong understanding of child development and preschool educational methods.
  • Familiarity with classroom safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills.
  • Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts among children.
  • Friendly, reliable, and calm under pressure.
