Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview:
RPC staffing is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer with experience in designing and developing geothermal pumps, fire pumps, or similar mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Inventor software and AutoCAD for creating detailed technical drawings, or experience in the design and development of water tank systems. You will collaborate closely with our R&D, manufacturing, and quality control teams to drive product development, optimize pump performance, and ensure the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop geothermal pumps, fire pumps, and related mechanical systems using AutoCAD for drafting and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the designs meet all safety, operational, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct thermal, fluid, and mechanical analysis to ensure product efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and review technical documentation, including assembly instructions, product specifications, and user manuals.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams during the production and installation of pumps.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of prototypes to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to select appropriate materials and components for pump manufacturing.
  • Analyze system performance data and make improvements to enhance product longevity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges related to geothermal or fire pump systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design or engineering, preferably with a focus on pumps or water systems
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for 2D/3D drafting and design.
  • Experience with water tank systems or related fluid handling technologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of geothermal energy systems, fire pumps, or similar mechanical systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, fluid dynamics, and thermal principles.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and quality assurance protocols.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with pump system testing and validation processes.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or other relevant platforms.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for pump design and manufacturing, such as ANSI, ASME, or NFPA.
  • Prior experience with project management or leading product development initiatives.
