The Extruder Operator is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of extruder machines and ensuring the quality of the produced film. This role involves monitoring and troubleshooting process variations and equipment performance, requiring strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. The operator will manage multiple machines and tasks simultaneously, necessitating excellent time management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Evaluate, adjust, and document process parameters at the start of each shift to ensure optimal pressures, speeds, temperatures, and general extruder operation.

• Quality Control: Visually inspect, weigh, and measure film produced during the shift to ensure compliance with customer specifications.

• Troubleshooting: Monitor and address process variations and equipment performance issues. Utilize strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complications as they arise.

• Equipment Maintenance: Use regulated cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cleaning cloths to maintain and clean equipment effectively.

• Team Collaboration: Communicate with team members, shift supervisors, and other relevant personnel to address and resolve any equipment issues or malfunctions. Provide support as needed and work cooperatively to ensure smooth operations.

• Documentation: Accurately document process parameters and any deviations to maintain clear records and ensure consistent production quality.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or its equivalent

• Skills: Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities. Effective time management and multitasking skills are essential.

• Communication: Must be a team player with the ability to communicate effectively with other departments and supervisors.

• Experience: Prior experience with extruder machinery and process control is preferred but not required.

• Certification: Ability to acquire a forklift license required.

Required:

• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.

• Proficiency in reading measurements
