Trinity Lighting, Inc is an import lighting manufacturer serving as a leader in the hospitality lighting industry for over 30 years. We are seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Import Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. In-office position preferred, but hybrid or remote schedule considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our sales team to develop accurate forecasts and manage inventory flow levels of prototypical brand programs. Continually analyze sales data to forecast future demand and optimize inventory levels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with overseas suppliers, negotiating pricing and delivery terms. Monitor supplier performance and address any quality or delivery issues.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve purchasing strategies to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with purchasing to place import orders with overseas suppliers, ensuring accurate delivery timelines.
  • Monitor shipment status, including tracking container movements and any import related issues like customs delays.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, stock turnover rates, and import costs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Periodic Asia travel required.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in import supply chain management, sourcing, or procurement. Lighting manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of import trade processes, freight forwarding processes, and general customs procedures.
  • Proficient with ERP, supply chain, inventory management, business reporting and logistics software.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with overseas suppliers. Proficiency in additional languages a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive informed decision making.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in complex situations.
