Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Truck Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of work trucks directly at client locations. Your technical expertise and commitment to quality will ensure that our equipment performs at its best, enabling us to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on work trucks and equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, and pole trailers.
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other critical mechanical components.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and lifespan.
- Document all service and repair activities accurately and comprehensively.
- Provide timely and clear communication with clients regarding repair progress and any additional services needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment during service operations.
- Maintain the service vehicle, ensuring it is well-stocked, organized, and in optimal working condition.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel or heavy equipment mechanics is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably with heavy trucks or equipment; field service experience is highly desirable.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills for diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to diverse challenges.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is preferred.
- Physical capability to lift heavy parts and work in varying environmental conditions.
