Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview
Benefits Specialist to support Health & Welfare and 401(k) benefit administration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in benefits management, with a strong focus on retirement benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Welfare Benefits Administration
- Maintain benefits records in HCM System and manage data reporting.
- Process vendor and premium payments.
- Handle life insurance evidence of insurability tasks.
- Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding benefits and invoices.
- Prepare and distribute new hire and termination benefits correspondence.
- Maintain benefit plan expense spreadsheets and assist with budgeting.
- Support Open Enrollment, including updating communication materials and testing system interfaces.
401(k) Retirement Plan Administration
- Process 401(k) transactions (loans, distributions) and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with recordkeepers on participant inquiries.
- Address employee questions related to the 401(k) plan.
- Assist in the annual ADP/ACP non-discrimination testing and Form 5500 preparation.
- Generate reports for Investment Committee meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits administration (401(k) experience preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with PeopleSoft or other HRIS systems preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word required.
