K&K is currently hiring for a Full-Time Project Manager to oversee all landscaping operations at Langley Air Force Base and Fort Eustis Base location in Hampton, VA / Newport News, VA

Role Description: This is a full-time, exempt, on-site role for a Landscape Project Manager located in Hampton, VA. This is a year-round position and requires you to be on the move all day long. The Landscape Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of landscape projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control. They will collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of management-level landscape experience. Experience in a governmental setting is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage landscape maintenance operations on a day-to-day basis from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

• Develop detailed project plans and schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders.

• Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

• Ensure the highest standards of quality control and compliance with safety regulations.

• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction.

• Coordinate with all site managers to ensure work is in compliance with the PWS.

• Supervise and guide on-site landscape teams, providing leadership and support.

• Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.

• Implement and oversee pesticide application programs, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• Work with inspectors to correct issues.

• Oversee a team of 45 employees, including 2 site managers.

• Be proficient and quick in using electronic devices, such as MacBooks.

• Be proficient in using Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Use ADP for employee time management.

• Be responsive around the clock to management, clients, and team members.

• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Clean background and the ability to undergo DOJ-level background checks as this is a military installation.

• Minimum of 10 years of management-level landscape experience.

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance project management.

• Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and horticultural practices.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to effectively manage project budgets and timelines.

• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in project management software and tools.

• Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, horticulture, or a related field (not required).

• Certification in project management (preferred).

• Experience in overseeing pesticide applications and holding a State of Virginia pesticide applicator's license (preferred).

• Experience in a governmental setting is a plus.

• Relevant managerial skills to lead site managers and teams effectively.

• Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices and environmental regulations.
