Maintenance Technician

Summary/Objective:
The Maintenance Technician will maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of all warehouse and manufacturing equipment to distribute and manufacture high quality products in a safe, repeatable, and cost-effective manner.
Essential Functions:

- Strict adherence to company safety, operational procedures, and policies,
- Inspect and repair manufacturing machinery, equipment, buildings, and systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner per the maintenance work order tracker.
- Checking and maintaining safety equipment such as fire alarms and fire extinguishers.
- Performing ground maintenance such as repair/upgrades to lighting, sprinklers, doors, etc.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair issues reported by local leadership.
- Maintain vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform the role effectively.
- Follow a maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with internal leadership to ensure equipment is released to production in a safe and timely manner.
- Continuously improve the safety and effectiveness of company equipment, as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the organization.

- Ability to calculate figures and understand prints.
- Knowledge of industrial 3-phase high voltage and single-phase low voltage.
- General PLC knowledge
Supervisory Responsibility:
None
Work Environment:
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. Noise such as warehouse equipment and machinery. Chemicals, solvents, and fiberglass related to the day-to-day operation; This list is not all inclusive.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to speak and listen. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, as well as use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; maneuver in and around machinery on a frequent basis. The employee may be required to lift/move items over 50 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Travel:
Local travel between Elkhart locations
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5-7 years related maintenance experience.
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Automation maintenance experience a plus.
