We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our team. In this position, you must be able to TIG and MIG weld stainless steel and aluminum vacuum chambers, frames, and fixtures. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in TIG welding of stainless steel or aluminum plate.

Our welders work in a clean, organized, temperature-controlled shop. Welders at LACO play an integral part in our manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Welding of stainless steel or aluminum plate using TIG and MIG welding techniques
  • Proficient in layout skills.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine specifications for welding projects.
  • Performing quality checks on completed work to ensure the finished product meets specifications.
  • Experience with manual lathes, mills, Iron Worker, metal rolls, grinding and rolling processes, and saws a plus.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to process improvements
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high level of quality.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work with our engineering team and communicate properly.
  • Must have a high focus on safety and the ability to learn and follow LACO’s safety standards.
  • We need a hard-working individual who is dependable and on time to work each day.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 4 years of welding experience

Job Details:

  • Shift: 5 days/week Monday-Friday Full-Time. There is also the option of a 9/80 work schedule where you will get every other Friday off.
  • Pay: Hourly rate: $24.00 to $28.00 an hour depending on experience
