Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute design and drafting expertise to a variety of projects. This role involves creating detailed component drawings, mechanical details, system layouts, and mechanical designs while collaborating with Project Engineers and other team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and incorporate design input from engineering personnel.
  • Research and explore various design possibilities as needed.
  • Develop detailed shop, field, and subcontractor fabrication drawings.
  • Ensure all work is accurate, complete, and meets customer and company CAD standards.
  • Apply appropriate dimensioning and tolerance values to convey precise fabrication intent.
  • Produce clear, precise, and easily readable drawings optimized for efficient paper use.
  • Visit job sites as needed to assess field conditions and collect data, which may involve extended travel.
  • Include fabrication notes to clarify special procedures where necessary.
  • Conform to ISO standards and follow established backup procedures.
  • Utilize company resources efficiently and responsibly.
  • Work professionally as part of a team and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, with occasional extended hours, weekends, or holidays as required.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned to meet company objectives and client needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude to understand machinery and equipment functionality.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, instructions, and other design inputs.
  • Capable of working independently and managing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with engineering, shop, and field teams.
  • Solid understanding of fabrication and dimensioning practices related to equipment construction.
