What will I do as a Warehouse Supervisor?

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the warehouse team's efficiency and accuracy of filling customer orders, stocking, staging, and shipping material in a manner that meets customer demands as well as company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. Participates in the hiring of new employees, and responsible for training and assigning daily work activities.

  • Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment.

  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Health, and Safety Rules, and immediately address safety concerns

  • Provide leadership and direct supervision to a team of warehouse employees to achieve the highest possible levels of accuracy and productivity

  • Participate in all aspects of hiring new employees for your department

  • Responsible for training and coordinating daily activities related to picking, and packing of inventory and non-inventory items

  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment and maintain the security of the Warehouse

  • Ensure outbound shipments and products are accurate and free of damage

  • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Utilize Workforce Management System (WMS) metrics, reporting and other tools to increase warehouse productivity

  • Evaluate policies and procedures to improve efficiency and make recommendations for improvement

  • May fill in for other warehouse roles

What are the qualifications and skills for this position?

  • Similar experience in related field (at least 12 months preferred)

  • Must have international logistics experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office (including word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook)

  • Knowledge and understanding of GP, TMS and WMS
