Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team In this crucial role, you will ensure our agency operates in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintains ethical debt collection practices. You’ll develop and implement compliance programs, monitor legal adherence, conduct audits, and provide training to staff. Your expertise will be key in safeguarding our company’s integrity and managing risk across operations.

This position requires an understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) regulations, and other essential compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, develop, and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to maintain compliance standards.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to staff on all compliance matters.
  • Serve as the liaison with regulatory bodies, handling compliance reporting and investigations.
  • Manage the development and revision of collection correspondence.
  • Respond to CFPB and BBB inquiries with thorough investigations.
  • Work directly with executive and departmental management to implement compliance strategies.
What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in compliance management, preferably within debt collection or financial services.
  • Understanding of FDCPA, CFPB regulations, and other relevant compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
