Summary

Everas Community Services, Inc. has been providing community-based services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 40 years. Our extensive experience includes services for people across a spectrum of abilities and specialized needs including people who are deaf-blind, deaf, or blind, people with intensive medical and behavioral support needs, and people with autism spectrum disorder. Join our team of professional staff committed to providing support services with care, quality, and respect throughout nine counties in NJ. Managing Director provides supervision, training, and direction to the agency’s residential leadership team that ensures direct services and supports are provided throughout our residential programs. Manage all development, operations, and quality metrics of programs to ensure services and supports are delivered that lead to positive outcomes for those we serve. Works in collaboration with other agency departments including QA and Clinical to ensure the highest level of care is delivered to those we serve. This position involves both hands on and administrative work, demonstrates leadership, involves frequent visits to each program and ensures all staff receive comprehensive training and supervision. Management, interpersonal communication skills, problem solving, and organizational skills will be utilized to ensure quality supports and services.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Staff support and supervision including performance management
  • Oversight and coordination of service delivery
  • Ensure that residential programs meet quality standards for direct client services and program operations
  • Ensure individuals receive caring, quality direct support services that meet their community living needs as per their individual service plan
  • Ensure all programs obtain successful licensing, certifications and regulatory reviews

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Human Services field or BA with minimum 5 years of experience in social services
  • Driver’s license with no more than two moving violations within three years
  • Criminal background check and drug screening
  • Physical including tuberculosis screening
  • Mandatory five-day orientation and professional skills training at agency headquarters
  • Pass and maintain required trainings including CPR/SFA; medication administration, and positive behavioral support training
  • Ability to provide mobility support and physical transfers
  • Comfort with hands on hygiene support/total care of people with physical support needs
  • Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and writing skills
  • Flexible schedule to include evenings/weekends
  • Emergency On-Call availability
  • Willingness to meet NJ Executive Order 252, which requires employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including a booster; at minimum one dose is required to begin employment with the expectation to complete subsequent doses as per recommended time frames; this requirement may be waived only in exceptional circumstances as outlined in the law.
