Responsibilities:

  • Own, advocate, and coach Agile (Scrum) processes, ensuring that the team always follows the framework and looks for opportunities to improve.
  • Serve as a Scrum Master for up to two Agile teams.
  • Uphold Agile values and principles and facilitate Agile ceremonies.
  • Focus teams on delivering value quickly and foster a motivating culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate across Agile teams for complex projects.
  • Take action based on retrospectives and sprint team metrics to improve sprint execution and team velocity.
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, and other Scrum-related meetings.
  • Track and communicate sprint/release progress via information radiators.
  • Play a key leadership role in the delivery of complex technology and business solutions.
  • Champion and embody the Scrum way of life across development teams.
  • Encourage and support iterative and collaborative development.
  • Escalate and resolve impediments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Leverage data to measure and monitor progress against commitments.
  • Coach teams on the basics of Scrum or Kanban (as needed).
  • Guide and coach Scrum teams and the organization on Agile/Scrum practices to meet program objectives.
  • Creatively apply Scrum management/Sprint Planning processes to address unique situations.
  • Assess Scrum execution status and take corrective measures, including escalation, to ensure program success.
  • Foster an environment of trust, good faith, team growth, creativity, and self-organization.
  • Facilitate discussions and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to maximize efficiency and achieve project objectives.
  • Protect the team from outside interference, remove impediments, and ensure team delivery.
  • Ensure Scrum teams adhere to core Agile principles, including collaboration, task prioritization, accountability, and visibility.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile SDLC processes and procedures.
  • Act as an advisor or coach to those new to Agile methodologies.
  • Guide teams in adopting Agile software development practices, including writing user stories, release scheduling, integration planning, and capacity planning.
  • Act as a Scrum Master for teams, guiding them to improve their ways of working.
  • Help teams manage dependencies between teams and third parties.
  • Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning and develop long-term roadmaps.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience, including 1-2 years as a Scrum Master.
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies in large-scale enterprise change programs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum practices, Confluence, Jira, collaboration tools, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Kanban, Extreme Programming, and release planning.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum Management, Sprint, and Release Planning.
  • Experience running Agile at scale as a SAFe RTE or Scrum of Scrums manager.
  • Experience working in multiple Scrum teams across different contexts (team sizes, organizations, cultures, co-located vs. distributed teams).

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
