The aftercare coordinator is responsible for the Afterschool Care Program at Neighborhood Christian School. The program hours are Monday through Friday 3pm - 5:30pm. The coordinator is expected to stay until 6pm each day in order to clean up and prepare for the following day. 

Neighborhood Christian School follows a traditional academic school calendar, which may be presented at hiring. School faculty receives school breaks in alignment with the academic calendar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a warm and caring atmosphere while maintaining a safe environment for participants by preparing activities that are developmentally appropriate for the age of the children 

  • Ability to use good judgment and effective problem solving skills.

  • Maintain records of attendance and sign‐in/out sheets and follow late pickup policy with consistency while maintaining proper administrative paperwork. This includes but not limited to time sheets, attendance sheets, leave request forms, and accident/injury forms.

  • Maintain a positive attitude toward co‐workers, students, and the school while following and enforcing all school policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for all activity and room preparations for the program while keeping the room neat and orderly 

  • Be adaptable to work in all weather conditions. May be required to work in various temperatures within the facility and outside.

  • Make recommendations to the Principal for improvement on equipment, supplies, facility and program needs 

  • Other duties as assigned.
