Driver position opening for CDL Class A or B drivers to operate trucks with GVW up to 70000 pounds within the New England area. Clutch experience recommended.

Typical times run from 7 am start to 4:30 PM finish plus overtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a heavy truck
  • Properly track and document activity log on trips as required by law.
  • Report any issues or incidents to operations manager.
  • Inspect truck before and after trip.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
  • Commercial driver's license
  • Ability to handle small workload
  • Strong work ethic

Description

Diagnose and repair equipment using diagnostic tools appropriate to the equipment type; perform routine preventive maintenance procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

Complete all service reports and submit on timely basis
Proactively communicate with Equipment Manager concerning equipment and job-related projects
Inspect and ensure safety devices are functional – such as back up alarms, fire extinguishers, seat belts, horns, etc.
Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment
Work more than 40 hours per week and overtime including some weekends
Perform additional assignments per Supervisor's direction
Requirements

Must have a clean driving record
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Prefer completion of Heavy Equipment/Diesel Technology program from accredited vocational or technical school
Prefer three years of experience in a related field
Ability to properly diagnose and repair hydraulics, powertrain, electrical, etc.
Read, understand and use service and operation manuals for reference
Operate tools and equipment used to repair construction equipment
Fl CDL preferred
Pre-employment drug screening required.
