Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a Part-Time Human Resources Associate to join our team.

Please note: The hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the position is expected to run from February to October.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists the Manager, Human Resources with the Seasonal employee hiring process
  • Compiles paperwork packets for new and returning seasonals
  • Coordinates with cemetery managers to ensure timely completion of requisition forms and updates returned requisition forms as needed
  • Gathers files for returning seasonals
  • Schedules paperwork appointments at the main office
  • Processes employee onboarding paperwork, including W-4 forms, I-9 forms, and other required documentation
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of all paperwork
  • Process criminal background checks and verify results
  • Tracks uniform inventory and ensure proper organization of uniform closet
  • Distributes uniform and safety gear
  • Files seasonal paperwork and completes data entry
  • Assist with other HR projects and initiatives, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of office procedures and systems, computers, and computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and ability to learn new software as needed.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors and follow through on assignments promptly.
  • Mature judgment, initiative, poise, tact, affability, and trustworthiness, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to fulfill the five-day workweek and the established hours of the position.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish.
  • Minimum high-school degree or have a G.E.D. Certificate.
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience.
  • Member of the Catholic Church with understanding of Catholic faith practices preferred.
  • Ability to handle extended periods of sitting or standing and handle frequent interruptions.
  • Handle light lifting and occasional filing.
