TRL Systems is seeking a Foreman to oversee the installation of CCTV, access control, and security systems. You will ensure the project is completed on time and with high quality. The Foreman acts as the main contact for the project manager, contractors, and the customer. Responsibilities include installation, identification of teams’ activities and goals, handling job site personnel issues, safety coordination, technician training and project reporting.
 

Day to day responsibilities: 

  • Manages onsite field crews to ensure the successful installation of project components.
    Identify best methods for project installation. 
    Provide advance system programming and/or troubleshooting security/alarm systems such as Lenel, Honeywell, AMAG, Avigilon, Genetec, etc
  • Train technicians on industry principles and standards. Is responsible for managing the onboarding plan and expectations of new team members
  • Conducts periodic on-site project evaluations to ensure compliance with the defined scope of work as well as TRL standards. Is expected to keep Project Manager notified of any ‘Out of Scope’ work needing to be performed or that is requested
  • Responsible for ensuring that all project documentation is completed as needed, project workplan reflects accurate status of work and a complete and well written resolution is entered on all project tickets.
  • Review and update time and material (T&M) tickets, ensure time is entered correctly, products have been entered and billed accurately.
  • Assure ticket resolution is accurate and complete and ticket status is updated timely for billing. 
  • Punctuality and regular attendance

Position Requirements: 

  • 5+ years installing/servicing security systems
  • 4+ years in a leadership role
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Posses a valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance. 
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends (if needed). 

TRL Systems, Inc. conducts pre-employment drug screening in accordance with Federal Contractor regulations and background checks in accordance with State and local regulations. In addition to having many clients (hospitals, schools, etc.) who require background checks, as a federal contractor TRL is also required to complete a background check for any employee who may work on a federal contract in any capacity. For any position that drives a Company vehicle, our insurance carrier requires criteria to be met and therefore will be a condition of employment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Repetitive substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Walk, drive, bend, stoop, hear, and speak
  • Move/transport/install/remove items weighing 50+ pounds
  • Drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day
  • You may work at extreme heights occasionally, and an indoor environment under all temperature variations.  Confined spaces may occasionally be required.
  • Work is performed on construction sites, in commercial buildings, high rise buildings, and/or hospitals with patient contact.
