As Fixture Carpenter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support carpenter contractors throughout Oxford, Alabama. In this temporary role, you'll enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule. 

The hourly rate for this position is $26 - $28 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.

Responsibilities:

• Hours: 5x8's, Sunday-Thursday, 40+ hours
• Assemble and install fixtures, shelving, and display units
• Set up dressing rooms and wall panels
• Read and follow installation instructions
• Measure, cut, and fit materials as needed
• Use hand and power tools for assembly
• Ensure all fixtures are level and secure
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Work with the team to complete tasks on time
• Follow safety guidelines on-site

 Qualifications:

• Basic carpentry and fixture installation skills 
• Ability to read and follow instructions or blueprints 
• Experience using hand and power tools 
• Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials accurately 
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (50+ lbs) 
• Attention to detail for precise installations 
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and meet deadlines 
• Basic understanding of safety protocols 
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day 
• Prior experience in the commercial field preferred 
• Prior experience using Hand tools, basic carpentry tools preferred 
• Position may require a drug screen
