As we continue to expand and grow our business, we are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and help drive our company's continued success.
Position Overview:
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a critical role in overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the company’s financial health, managing risk, driving business growth, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, executive team, and the Board of Directors to develop financial strategies and operational plans to support the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to ensure long-term growth and profitability.
- Provide strategic guidance on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support decision-making at all levels.
- Lead the development of key financial metrics and KPIs to measure the financial health and success of the company.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of financial statements, reports, and forecasts in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing the bail bond industry and insurance sector.
- Lead annual audits and work with external auditors to ensure financial transparency and compliance.
- Cash Flow & Risk Management:
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to ensure the company’s liquidity and financial stability.
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Oversee the management of the company’s investment portfolio and other financial assets.
- Cost Management & Profitability:
- Analyze company costs and identify areas for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
- Drive profitability by optimizing financial operations and identifying new revenue streams.
- Team Management & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on financial excellence.
- Work closely with the executive leadership team to support strategic planning and operational initiatives across all business units.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including external auditors, insurance partners, and regulatory bodies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation preferred.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role, ideally in the insurance, bail bonds, or financial services industry.
- Proven experience in managing multi-location operations and overseeing complex financial structures.
- In-depth understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles specific to the insurance and bail bond industry.
- Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex financial challenges.
- Advanced knowledge of financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- High-level proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
