Junior Sales Representative (Prospector)

Job Overview

We're looking for a motivated Junior Sales Representative (Prospector) at Johnson Restoration Services to support our residential sales team by identifying and generating leads through cold calling and neighborhood canvassing. You'll connect with homeowners, assess potential needs, and set the stage for our sales closers, all while delivering friendly, professional service. This is an ideal role for someone eager to break into sales, with a focus on hustle, people skills, and growth potential.

Position Details

  • Location: Omaha, Nebraska
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Reports To: Sales Manager
  • Pay Range: $15 - $25.00/hr. + performance bonuses (bonus per appointment/lead generated)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation/Prospecting: Canvass neighborhoods door-to-door and make cold calls to identify homeowners who may need roofing, siding, gutters, or restoration services.
  • Initial Contact: Engage homeowners with a friendly pitch, assess their interest, and gather basic information about their property needs.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule consultations for senior sales reps to conduct inspections and close deals.
  • Follow-Up: Check in with prospects to confirm appointments and maintain a positive impression.
  • Documentation: Record lead details (e.g., contact info, property notes) accurately in our CRM system.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no prior sales experience required—we'll train the right person.
  • Experience: Experience in customer-facing roles (e.g., retail, hospitality) or outbound calling is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, resilience in facing rejection, and a positive attitude.
  • License: Valid driver's license required with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

Ability to travel locally, walk neighborhoods for extended periods, climb & descend short ladders occasionally (e.g., to view roofs from ground level), and carry up to 15 lbs (e.g., marketing materials).
