Job Description:

As the General Manager of Gourmet Caterers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination of our service, kitchen, operations, and sales departments. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing client relationships, managing a few key cafe operations, and contributing as a key member of our management team to deliver exceptional customer service, top-notch food quality, and cohesive teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Department Coordination:

    • Ensure all departments (service, kitchen, operations, and sales) work together in unison.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among departments.
    • Monitor and optimize workflows to improve efficiency and service quality.

  2. Client Relationship Management:

    • Oversee client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance client engagement and retention.

  3. Cafe Operations Oversight:

    • Oversee operations of cafe operations
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.

  4. Management Team Participation:

    • Collaborate with the management team to set strategic goals and objectives.
    • Contribute to decision-making processes to drive business growth and success.
    • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.

  5. Customer Service Excellence:

    • Ensure the delivery of the highest standards of customer service.
    • Address customer feedback and implement improvements based on their input.
    • Train and motivate staff to maintain exceptional service levels.

  6. Food Quality Assurance:

    • Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain superior food quality.
    • Implement quality control measures and ensure consistency in food preparation.
    • Stay updated with culinary trends and integrate innovative ideas into the menu.

  7. Teamwork and Leadership:

    • Lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to align goals and expectations.
    • Provide mentorship and support to staff, encouraging professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in the catering or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food quality standards.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
