What to expect:
You will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies for a world-renowned aerospace leader. Based out of Brownsville, TX, you will be supporting precision inspection activities and conducting source inspections at supplier sites in the area. Some travel to different suppliers in Texas will be required for this role. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client needs and supplier production schedules.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct precision mechanical inspections at client-supplier sites, primarily in Brownsville
  • Perform in-process and final source inspections on composite and mechanical parts.
  • Read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings, including GD&T and industry standards.
  • Utilize a range of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).

 

What you’ll need:

  • Hands-on experience with various mechanical inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and CMM experience (programming a plus, but not required).
  • Experience with inspecting mechanical parts and composites.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and pass a background check.
  • Willingness to travel to different suppliers is a must.

 

Additional Considerations:

  • Initial training includes shadow inspections, classroom training, and Gage R&R evaluation in California. SQA Services will cover all travel/accommodation costs as needed.
