About the Job – Your Role
As our Medical Services Manager you will work cooperatively with stakeholders throughout the department to meet the medical needs of our adults in custody. You will coordinate teams of professionals, verify our services are clinically appropriate and consistent with community health care standards, and provide information to administration. The person in this position will need to create strong working relationships throughout the institution and the division, exercise judgement, and provide leadership to the EOCI Health Services staff.

This position is management services and may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.
Minimum Qualifications
Seven years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience.
OR
Four years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Note: Possession of an unencumbered Registered Nurses License from the Oregon State Board of Nursing at the time of appointment.
Special Qualifications
License to practice in Oregon as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
Three years supervisory and/or teaching experience in an independent practice setting, and prior nursing experience.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing with a variety of individuals ranging from health care professionals to lay persons.

Working Conditions

Work inside of an adult correctional facility including frequent interactions with adults in custody. Prolonged use of computer terminals. After hour availability in the event of emergencies.

About the Process – What to Expect
