We are seeking a Lead Solutions Architect who loves the challenge of solving problems and improve people’s lives. You’ll have a heavy emphasis on software and system engineering/development and cloud to strengthen capabilities, layout technology services, streamline practices/processes and enable delivery teams to be effective. You’ll collaborate with business and information technology partners, fellow architects, engineers, delivery teams and leaders in the Insurance segment to make a major impact in the Medicare and Medicaid business by developing strategies, defining world-class solutions, improve operational efficiencies, and support technology governance.
The Lead Solutions Architect represented here must have specialized experience and skills as it relates deep software and system engineering, cloud and multicloud, and software development in general, which is meant to improve the experience of engineers with a focus on what they do best in business delivery.
The Lead Solutions Architect works, collaborates and partners with the Enterprise, segments, business entities, lines of business, and various domains across Insurance like Enrollment, Product, Claims, Provider, Clinical and Customer Service, etc., to set the future direction, innovate, craft and deliver solutions, define technology standard and patterns and seeks opportunities to streamline and simplify operations. The Lead Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in recommendations and outcomes for business problems throughout the health insurance segment.
The Lead Solutions Architect is instrumental to address a diverse scope of responsibility from minor to complex issues where thorough analysis, assessment and thought are required in terms the business and information technology can understand.
The Lead Solutions Architect advises executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks and works under minimal supervision. Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of multiple factors and determining the best course of action.
The ideal candidate has a passion for data as a core asset, the skillset and desire to craft solutions that apply leading technology to real-world business problems, and excellent communication and teamwork. The ideal candidate will be a key partner to the business and information technology leaders they support.

Experience leading architecture in modernization, transformation and transition journeys.
Experience with developing and influencing strategies and roadmaps.
Experience working with engineers and delivery teams.
Experience in diverse technologies from leading edge, modern to legacy such as Augmented and Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language, SaaS, Cloud (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services) .net, Java, Mainframe, etc.
Proven track record of driving efficiency measures in larger scale organizations.
Demonstrated experience participating in, interacting with, and improving architecture practices.
Ability to build strong relationships with business and information technology partners, including communicating complex technology concepts to non-technical audiences.
Contributed to establishing standards, patterns, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Strong leadership, analytical, organization, communication and problem-solving skills enabling sound decision making.

Has experience with software and system development life cycles (SDLC), capability maturity model integration (CMMI) and scaled agile framework (SAFe).
Has proven experience with software development strategies and best practices.
Well versed with self-service testing, automated testing, test data management with proper configurations in various tools.
Has deep proven experience with developing software for human centered experience design user interfaces, integration services producer/consumer with restful/json endpoints, understands data translation services and pipelines and is versed in client/server and clientless apps.
Has proven experience with best methods related to branching and tiering strategies.
Has proven experience cloud and multicloud strategies and best practices .
Has deep, core proven experience configuring and automating for self-service capabilities, service virtualization, clusters and containers of native cloud infrastructure as a service, platform as a service in relationship to DevOps, pipelines, software. engineering/development, system engineering and packaged software.
Has cloud auto-scaling and high availability, always-on, experience and expertise to address business operations through the highs and lows of business cycles.
Has multicloud expertise and experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to address reliable services cross and inter-cloud.

Education and Work Experience
- Must possess an accredited bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science with 12 years of progressive demonstrated work experience in software engineering and development, integration development and cloud engineering/architecture and 6 years of progressive information technology architecture experience.
Work-At-Home Requirements:
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Preferred
Experience in Health insurance industry (Medicaid, Medicare, Specialty etc.).
Conducted Vendor evaluation and selection process for technology platforms.
Professional experience in a role with strategic planning, resource planning, business process engineering, lean portfolio management and budgeting.
Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization.
Experience with Git, GitHub or GitLab
Experience with Jfrog, Jenkins or Chef
Experience with Kafka, Databricks, Apigee and Swagger
Experience with Terraform, Ansible or Puppet to assist avoiding drift in tiers keeping Prod, Stage, Integration, QA, Dev clean and the same.
Experience with coding and testing augmented or artificial intelligence.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$139,500 - $192,000 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
