Job Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, Revenue Integrity, performs functions involved in the support of the Denials Team which includes but is not limited to: reviewing the Denials Refund work queue, sending accounts to the appropriate work queue, and appropriate follow-up with attorney and vendor referrals, reviewing correspondence, and providing any support needed by the team. Is consistent, dependable, and accurate in carrying out responsibilities to a successful conclusion. Clearly understands the purpose, objectives, practices, and procedures of the department. Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the Manager. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Healthcare.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED; a minimum of three years billing and/or collection experience working in a medical setting.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint applications.
