Job Description Summary: Minimum starting salary $17.00 / hour

The Cottage Supervisor is a staff residential psych tech who is an active member of the cottage-based treatment team. The Cottage Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the residential psych techs assigned to his/her particular cottage. They provide services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance abuse and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. They demonstrate a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. They will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive, which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. The Cottage Supervisor reports to the Turnaround Ranch Operations Supervisor.

Education:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all child caring activities are carried out in a responsible manner in accordance with existing Policy and Procedure as well as State rules and regulations.
  • Create staff work and training schedules to ensure that staffing patterns and training requirements meet State regulations.
  • Mediate any disputes arising among or between residential psych techs and clients.
  • Attend, chair, and report to the Operations Supervisor weekly cottage treatment team meetings in concert with the therapist and TCM.
  • Communicate all environmental and daily living and operational concerns to the Operations Supervisor.
  • Oversight of all paperwork required at the cottage.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical physical demands include prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.
  • Requires ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours.
  • TB test upon hire.
