We have two Supply Chain Planner positions open - Proprietary Brands & Distributed Brands.

The Proprietary Brands Supply Planner is responsible for closely managing manufacturing partners' production & shipping schedules and coordinating the efficient supply of RC hobby items to satisfy customer demand. The Proprietary Supply Planner is responsible for the monthly supply planning cycle, supplier resources planning, short-term and long-term, and issuing purchase orders for our international and domestic suppliers. This position also works to optimize our inventory network by managing the inventory transfer process to minimize supply chain costs and to meet customer demand, maintaining high customer order fill rates. Additionally, responsibilities include management of supplier scorecard performance and supplier on-boarding activities to support the purchasing.

The Distributed Brands Supply Planner is responsible for closely monitoring the lifecycle of inventory across a subset of non-proprietary product. This role is responsible for the day-to-day relationship of Distributed Suppliers which could include facilitating key meetings, item management, and supplier performance tracking. This collaborative role will work closely with our distribution centers, logistics, sales and marketing teams to maximize Distributed Brands success.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Key contributor to supplier meetings that are purposeful in managing supplier performance
  • Translate supply plans and projected forecasts into effective and delivery plans that eliminate constraints and meet new product launch dates and demand forecast for all items.
  • Release/issue POs and schedule deliveries
  • Monitor shipping status and ensure timely delivery
  • Schedule and plan product reworks needs required
  • Support new supplier on-boarding
  • Reporting and tracking of supplier scorecard performance monthly
  • Development of action plans in relation to Supplier Scorecard metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor inventory supply network and plan inventory transfers to optimize supply chain costs and meet customer demand
  • Effective supply planning of kits and parts together
  • Ongoing excess inventory disposition

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related business field i.e., Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Engineering or Finance. Or relative job experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in inventory and supply planning, project management, international contract manufacturing, purchasing or supplier performance management.
  • Preferred experience using Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.

  • Logical thinking – ability to analyze a situation and determine a sensible solution.
  • Problem solving – ability to determine the root cause of a problem and determine an effective solution.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required; advanced Excel skills are advantageous.
  • Team player – able to work well across business operations teams.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and the ability to influence people at all levels within our organization and externally with our suppliers.
  • Capable of utilizing spreadsheet/database files and Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP based software to manage the planning process.
  • Organizational Skills – advanced ability of logical thinking combined with strong follow-through is key.
  • Adept at working with other cultures.
  • Daily schedule flexibility to manage meetings across different time zones.
