About The Role
Spiegelworld is looking for a Head Video to join the team at DiscoShow at the LINQ in Las Vegas. An ideal candidate will have heavy operational and production experience in live shows with a specialty in Disguise media servers and integrating across multiple disciplines, including audio lighting and video. Experience maintaining and troubleshooting video systems at resident shows, as well as intimate knowledge of show control will be key to success in this position. This position reports to the production manager. This is a full time position and the pay is $43/hour.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing, Maintaining and troubleshooting a Roe LED Wall and Floor Products and Disguise media servers.
- Inspecting and maintaining video equipment to insure safe and consistent operation, including cleaning and routine maintenance
- Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
- Weekly Schedule of video crew members in collaboration with Department Heads
- Creating Documentation and preparing maintenance schedules for ongoing operations.
- Maintaining documentation of show cues, cue track, and the video rig as directed
- Training additional operators to maintain coverage for department
- Tracking consumables and spares that are applicable to the department and requesting restocking orders from the Production Manager in a timely manner
- Supporting special events, including installation of new video elements & content, including basic programming and adjustments to external content.
- Being on call during your shift to resolve any problem that may arise as quickly as possible.
- Collaborate with, learn from, and teach team members from each discipline and venue so that we can operate as a team.
- Participating in all required safety and emergency rescue trainings, as directed
- Collaborate with artistic and technical directors to maintain and implement the artistic vision of the production through technical programming and system management.
- Oversee the technical programming and operation of all equipment, ensuring smooth execution of shows, including updates and modifications as needed.
- Act as the primary technical liaison, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues during production runs.
- Program, configure, and maintain video control systems to meet evolving production needs.
- Provide technical guidance and training to on-site teams to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality performances.
- Collaborate on system design modifications with the technical design team to meet artistic goals while maintaining safety and efficiency.
- Manage technical documentation and ensure all programming changes are accurately recorded and communicated.
- Establish trust-based relationships with the performers
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
- At least 3 years of experience in Professional Theatrical environments
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the crew leadership role
- Must have valid work authorization for the US
- Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successful reference & background check clearance prior to hire
- An Ideal candidate will provide evidence of continuing education in associated fields:
- Live show production
- Video signal distribution
- AV system networking
- System troubleshooting
- Good communication
- Quick decision making
- General computer use for installing and configuring programs, changing windows network and display settings, email, etc.
- Disguise Fundamentals Certification
- Q-SYS Level 1 or 2 Certification
- Dante Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification
- Lightware Extender Experience
- Show Control Experience

- Work is performed in a high volume professional foodservice and theater environment.
- Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
- must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift 75 pounds.
- Specific vision acuity requirements include close vision, depth perception, and color recognition.
- Able to work on step ladders up to 12' and extension ladders to 26'. Occasional use of a man-lift up to 40' will also be required.
