We have an opportunity for you to use your design skills in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to improve the way healthcare is delivered, as well as extend access to quality healthcare for Veterans nationwide.


Role Overview:

You will combine your expertise in data visualization, deck design, and human-centered design thinking to support effectively communicating complex information to executive leadership. In this role, you will execute visual communications projects and help deliver these time-sensitive reports and briefings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop dynamic PowerPoint presentations tailored to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Create compelling graphic visualizations, including infographics and data representations, for various projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver optimal visual communication solutions.
  • Ensure all visual assets, including presentations, comply with 508 accessibility standards.
  • Apply human-centered design principles to enhance engagement and ensure clear messaging.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working on graphic design projects and creative direction assignments
  • Experience facilitating discussions with clients about complex workforce messages, data representations, and analytic ideas
  • Ability to work with the client to define project requirements and provide process advice for optimal visual communication production
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust determination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization and infographic production
  • Experience with 508 compliance
  • Knowledge of human-centered design methodology or design thinking principles
  • Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written skills, including communicating presentations to internal and external professionals at all levels

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience, education, and skills relevant to the role.
