Transportation Specialist

POSITION SUMMARYThe Transportation Specialist will schedule and dispatch drivers, equipment, or service vehicles for conveyance of materials, freight, or employees, or for normal installation, service, or emergency repairs rendered within the company. Coordinates and directs the movements of vehicles, equipment and workers utilizing optimization software to maximize driver efficiency and product line profitability. This is an office-based position at field location for Power Solutions Key Accountabilities Coordinate Power Solutions truck deliveries. Manage both internal and broker drivers. Ability to coordinate a large volume of proppant moves simultaneously. Effective coordination of drivers, HOS and endorsements. Balance drivers between various needs, sites and demands ensuring maximum utilization. Liaising between management, drivers, and customers. Provide logistics analysis and reports. Promote safety awareness, follow policies & procedures on quality, health, safety & environment. Will also maintain required Quality & HSE certifications up to date. Evaluating driver performance, handling customer queries, and resolving complaints in a timely manner. Complying to transportation regulations and company policies. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to drive quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Excellent problem-solving skills. Proficiency in NexTier transportation management software. In-depth knowledge of transportation industry regulations and DOT laws. Ability to navigate effectively in a Windows environment to enter data and/or process information. Ability to efficiently and effectively communicate with business partners, supervisors/managers, peers, or subordinates in verbal or written form. Language Comprehension Ability to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employee to issue, receive and respond to both safety and operations-related directions in English. Minimum Required Education H.S. Diploma - Required Associate's Degree - Preferred Minimum Required Work Experience 2-3 years of Logistics experience. Training in transportation law, safety regulations, and logistics.
