Position Overview

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Sales Representative. The primary responsibility is to manage the sales process while providing excellent customer service. The representative will source new customers, assist them in finding and designing their dream homes, and ensure a smooth sales process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate D.R. Horton’s value proposition, product vision, and capabilities to potential customers.
  • Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges, establishing D.R. Horton as the best solution.
  • Overcome objections and close sales.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of transactions from sale through loan, options, and construction.
  • Continually source new sales opportunities.
  • Create and provide a marketing plan to management for establishing new customer relationships.
  • Network and perform outreach to realtors.
  • Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals, and work effectively with team members.
  • Maintain and expand the database of prospects.
  • Attend sales meetings.
  • Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and improve the company's goodwill and profit.
  • Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members.
  • Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree or 2 years related experience.
  • Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and be able to drive during the day or night.
  • Ability to utilize D.R. Horton Sales applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
  • Ability to apply common sense to execute instructions in written or oral form or via D.R. Horton Sales applications.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, and bend; lift/move up to 25 pounds; regular exposure to outside weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensing requirements vary by state.
  • Prior CRM software experience.
  • Previous sales experience; industry knowledge preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated.
