Responsible for performing high quality radiographs. He/she shall strive to minimize patient wait time in the department and shall do his/her best to educate patients/families about procedures being performed. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services and pain intervention procedures that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.

Required Skills:
  • Performs all radiographic procedures as written in Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Notifies department director of equipment/machine malfunction.
  • Follows policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for Radiology Tech according to accepted standards.
  • Adheres to Policies and Procedures as defined by Infection Control.
  • Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge of all radiographic procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of reporting system of radiology findings to physician.
  • Serves as a resource to other members of the healthcare team.
  • Acts in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Center.
  • Maintains patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.
  • Follows the Center's professional conduct and dress code policy.
  • Communicates effectively and courteously with visitors, physicians, patients, and employees.
  • Assists with other responsibilities of Center as deemed necessary by management.
Required Experience:
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Graduate of an approved school of radiology technician.
  • Currently certified in the state and ARRT Certified.
  • BLS certification. One year experience required.
  • Familiar with medical terminology.
