We are looking for people dedicated to helping students learn in the absence of the classroom teacher.

Must hold a valid MO teaching certificate or MO substitute teaching certificate. A person is eligible for a substitute certificate if they have completed 36 college credit hours from a DESE approved college or university and can pass a criminal background screening.

OR (if a candidate doesn't have 36 hours)

Must hold a high school diploma and complete a 20 hour course approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and can pass a criminal background screening.

Teacher Substitute

(Sub/Teaching Certificate Required)

Regular Teacher Substitute - $115.00 per day

Regular Long-Term Teacher Substitute - $135.00 per day

(eleven or more consecutive days in the same assignment)

Retired Teacher Substitute $130.00 per day

(substitute who retired as a certificated teacher)

Retired Teacher Long-Term Substitute - $150.00 per day

(eleven or more consecutive days in the same assignment)

  • Incentive - $115 (ten or more days in a calendar month)

Certificated Para Substitute

(Sub/Teaching Certificate Required)

Regular Para Substitute - $107.25 per day

Retired Para Substitute - $120.00 per day

(substitute who retired as a certificated teacher)
