Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage on-site construction activities for commercial projects from inception to completion and all this entails.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
  • Proactively identify and resolve construction-related issues to prevent delays.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports and progress updates.
  • Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and performance of field personnel and their crews.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
  • Communication through phone, email, text, and writing in a clear, concise, timely, and professional manner.
  • Site meetings with clients, vendors, sub-contractors, inspectors, and staff - maintain professionalism.
  • Recognize when change orders may be necessary and alert PMs to determine further steps.
  • End of day worksite walk, and lock up.
  • Represent the company and yourself with a positive professional attitude at all times.
  • Demonstrate the ability to professionally communicate with the project team, project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve positive results.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of at least 1 year of experience working for a general contractor working on multi-family and commercial buildings.
  • Ability to read and evaluate a full set of blueprints and relevant contract documents. Napkin Sketch to Completion.
  • Experience with Blue-Beam, Microsoft Project, Builder-trend, and Excel preferred or similar preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Excellent leadership, professionalism, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred but will provide.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate the ability to professionally communicate with the project team, project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve positive results.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
