Primary Responsibilities

  • Process and manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments, tenant rent collections, and invoice processing
  • Generate and distribute accurate client invoices in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries and perform regular account reconciliations
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 30 employees, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and year-end W-2 preparation
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting
  • Handle property-related expenses including utility bills, maintenance costs, and service contracts
  • Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate billing and collection of invoice charges
  • Support annual tax preparation
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with property management software
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate accounting principles
  • Prior experience in multi-location accounting
