Mechanical Superintendent

What You Will Do- Works closely with Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Home Office Mechanical Procurement coordinator in formulating, discussing, and finalizing the overall plan of operations, job layout, job schedule, etc.
- Manages the day-to-day work of crafts and subcontractors in the field, delegates work through foreman and/or subcontractor representatives.
- Maintains regular communications with project staff to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
- Reviews plans and specifications of job, job budget, and estimate with project manager and project superintendent to ensure clarity.
- Participates in weekly progress meetings with subcontractors.
- Assists in preparation of plan for receiving, storing, and handling materials.
- Assists in resolving construction problems as required.
- Maintains best possible relationship with owner and architectural-engineering firm associated with the job.
- Performs additional assignments per project manager’s and project superintendent’s direction.
- Performs quantity surveys and estimates for plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Construction setting, travel required, full-time. Must have the physical ability to manage tasks in confined spaces and/or extreme heights safely.
- Project Manager, Project Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Construction Executive.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Strong leadership and management skills required.
- Deep knowledge of mechanical systems required.
- Requires excellent technical and management skills.
- Strong client relations skills are a must.
- Demonstrated ability to manage costs and control schedule effectively.
- Excellent knowledge of safety requirements.
- Minimum high school diploma/GED and 15 years construction management experience required.
- Current clearance, or the ability to obtain, a Department of Defense minimum secret security clearance required.
