As an Unarmed Security Officer at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community.

Every Security Officer at Precision Security Team is entrusted with delivering an exceptional experience for our clients while safeguarding their interests. It is essential to uphold the company’s professional image at all times—whether interacting with clients, the public, or law enforcement.

As a member of our team, you are expected to embody and demonstrate Precision Security Team’s core values and code of conduct in all aspects of your work.

Your schedule would be 11:00 am-7:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday for a total of 40 hours. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability.

Critical Roles of the Position:Extended Bus Riding Capability
  • Must be comfortable and able to ride on public transit buses for up to 8 hours per day, maintaining vigilance and focus throughout the duration.
  • Ability to adapt to the motion of the vehicle without experiencing motion sickness, ensuring consistent situational awareness and readiness to respond to incidents.

  • Demonstrates a composed and professional attitude in all interactions, including high-pressure or confrontational situations.
  • Effectively de-escalates conflicts and handles challenging individuals with empathy and respect, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers and transit staff.

  • Maintains sharp observational skills to identify suspicious behavior, potential threats, or safety hazards.
  • Thoroughly monitors and reports on-site conditions, accurately documenting incidents or irregularities in compliance with company and client protocols.
Physical Endurance and Mobility
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout transit facilities or vehicles for extended periods (up to 8 hours daily).
  • Ensures consistent visibility and availability, patrolling areas as required to deter and address safety concerns.

By maintaining these critical skills and attributes, a Transit Security Guard ensures the security and well-being of passengers, staff, and the transit environment.

Precision Security Team or the client can assign other duties to you as necessary at any time.

Pay: This W2 position pays $20.25/hour. Employees working 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, and accident insurance. Colorado is an at-will employment state.

Hiring Process: Our hiring process begins with a thorough review of resumes to identify candidates who align well with our company’s needs. If your resume stands out, you will receive a call for an initial phone screen. Following a successful phone screen, we will invite you to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and other relevant management team members. Should you advance past this stage, a job offer will be extended to you no less than 24 hours later. After the offer is accepted, we conduct a background check and proceed with online onboarding.

Assessments will be scored based on answering the question, and proper use of grammar and written communication. Please do not write "see resume" or "can be discussed during the interview" as your answer. We are looking for answers with specific examples and/or thorough, multiple sentence answers to the questions.

During the interview, we ask that you use the S.T.A.R. technique. The STAR technique is a structured method used to answer behavioral interview questions by clearly outlining a Situation, Task, Action, and Result. This approach helps candidates provide comprehensive and well-organized responses that showcase their skills and experiences effectively, and helps candidates provide answers that are coherent, concise, and impactful, making it easier for interviewers to assess their competencies and fit for the role.

Requirements:
  • 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Pass required background check
  • Able to work the posted hours without modification
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand for up to eight hours at a time
  • Able to walk around for 8 hours at a time
  • Able to pass company basic hand-to-hand course
  • Able to walk up and down stairs frequently throughout your shift
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
