Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, problem-solver to join our team. The Supply Chain & Operations Manager at HatchMed Corporation will oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain and operational processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. This role involves strategic planning, supplier relationship management, inventory control, and continuous process improvement to support business growth and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Management
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business objectives.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and optimize procurement processes, ensuring timely sourcing of materials and products.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
2. Operations Management
- Lead daily operations, including production planning, warehouse management, inventory management, and logistics.
- Oversee inventory control systems to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, engineering, and customer service) to ensure seamless operations and product delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
3. Performance Optimization
- Analyze supply chain and operational data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve lead times.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on supply chain and operational performance.
4. Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 supply chain and operations staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, integrity and innovation within the department.
- Provide training and development opportunities to ensure team members are growing and equipped to meet business challenges.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a people management role.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, procurement strategies, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and ERP type software.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP, Six Sigma).
- Experience in the medical device or healthcare technology industry.
- Experience in international supply chain (i.e. customs, tariffs, etc.)
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the medical or manufacturing industries.
