Position Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Manager has hands-on responsibility for planning and organizing the efficient operation of the warehouse operations consisting of shipping/receiving, Fabrication, Paint and Delivery departments. The Manager is also directly responsible for inventory management of incoming and outgoing products and parts and ensure orders are delivered correctly.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage and supervise all warehouse operations; inbound/outbound operations, logistics, and order fulfillment. Organization and efficiency of the warehouse, coordinating and executing weekly reconciliations of all statuses of fulfillment orders, backordered deliveries, factory pick-ups, projects and future goals that need to be executed with all cross-functional departments.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security and inventory procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system for about 150 to 200 SKUs.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by ensuring all safety protocols are followed, inspects equipment and issues work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement as needed.
  • Manages the operation flow of Fabrication, Paint, Inventory, Routing & Delivery
  • Manages warehouse & delivery staff (20 employees) by application of the Union contract and company policies and scheduling of staff.
  • Is an individual contributor to the warehouse operations along with providing supervisory functions of subordinates.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Studies shipping orders, bills of lading, invoices, etc. to determine workflow.
  • Manages CDL compliance and fleet management of trucks
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members (Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Managers and Accounting) to streamline and forecast daily/weekly work activities.
  • Standardize and analyze raw data from the ERP-Sage and external systems to determine daily/weekly inventory transfers, fulfillments, POs, align inventory counts, check data integrity, and balance inventory
  • Manage a portion of Facilitys responsibilities, which includes plumbing, locksmith, electrical work, and overhead gates.
  • Plan the daily route schedule while also prioritizing cross-functional departments time windows for deliveries.
  • Coordinating daily tool pick-ups and drop-offs from different job sites to support ongoing field jobs.
  • Ensure all vehicles in the fleet management program, including forklift and glass manipulators are being serviced and inspected in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is being inspected and tagged for redistribution.

Experience & Education:
  • High School Diploma
  • BS/BA in supply chain, logistics or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
  • Warehouse inventory management experience required
  • Construction warehouse operations or related industry experience highly preferred
  • Hi-Lo certified a plus
  • DOT/CDL management preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to ambulate in a safety sensitive warehouse environment
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time on a consecutive basis
  • Ability to climb stairs, use a ladder and stand on a ladder for a period of time on a consecutive basis
  • Ability to use a computer and keyboard on a daily basis
  • Ability to use a phone on a daily basis
