*Overview*
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including hospice care and outpatient facilities. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while adhering to established standards and protocols.

Minimum of 2 years experience working as an LPN required. LPNs must have IV skills to work at Madonna.
Requirements: Licensed as an LPN in the State of Nebraska, BLS issued by American Heart Association, and IV Therapy Certification.

*Duties*
* Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and monitoring vital signs.
* Assist with airway management and other essential nursing procedures.
* Conduct laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures as needed.
* Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
* Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and medication management.
* Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth and Cerner.
* Support pain management initiatives to enhance patient comfort and quality of life.
* Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations in all aspects of patient care.

*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of hospice care principles and practices.
* Proficient in outpatient care procedures and protocols.
* Familiarity with laboratory processes and testing methodologies.
* Excellent airway management skills.
* Experience with electronic health records, specifically Athenahealth and Cerner.
* Competent in medication administration techniques.
* Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Ability to manage pain effectively through appropriate interventions.
